Training: How to Be an Effective Worker
To be able to progress in your career, your employers need to see your drive and capacity to improve and become an asset in the company.
Here are some of the list to help you become an effective worker with a no-trying-hard attitude.
- Don’t try to impress by being a know-it-all guy
You may want to impress the boss, but having a know-it-all type of attitude can do more harm than good. No one likes a person who present himself as a know-it-all person. You may be good at one thing, but the business world is a no place for self-confessed genius as it always change and evolve.
- Be flexible.
There is a difference with consistency and rigidity. When you’re not flexible and cannot adapt to changes and improvement will only make you look like an unwilling close-minded person, and by then you’ll know that you’ve fallen to what we call the rigidity pit hole. Your way may be good last week, but it may not be next month. You have to show everyone that you’re open to improvement.
- Improve yourself and make your skills razor sharp.
Do not be too comfortable with the pattern of your daily routine at work. This will make your skills stagnant and will eventually deteriorate, pulling you to become confined with your work.
